While this is technically still classified as a rumor, you can definitely consider it legitimate considering the source of the information.

In a recent radio interview on TSN's 1050 in Toronto, insider Darren Dreger confirmed that that not only is Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Lou Lamoriello actively shopping 25-year-old center Peter Holland, but he also confirmed the asking price.

According to Dreger the Maple Leafs are not interested in having a player come back the other way and are instead looking for a draft pick in exchnage for Holland which would drop their total contracts to 47, leaving them room to add three more down the line.

Dreger didn't touch on a possible trading partner for the Leafs but one has to imagine that long-time rivals the Montreal Canadiens are likely very much in the mix. The Canadiens have lost two of their centers to long-term injury, and Holland seems like a perfect fit for the Habs. Montreal has no interest in trading away a roster player as they are in win-now mode, acquiring Holland for a draft pick would help solve their depth issues at center and cost them nothing in the short-term.
