Breaking: Top NHL defenseman make his season debut tonight!

Good news Nashville Predators fans: Ryan Ellis will be in the lineup for the first time this season when the Preds take on the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday night.

Ellis has been cleared to return after his long-term recovery from offseason knee surgery sidelined him through most of the season's first half. 

He participated in practice in Nashville on Monday and was paired with Roman Josi. 

The Predators were able to withstand the absence of Ellis. They are sitting in second place in the Central Division with 51 points, one behind the first-place Winnipeg Jets.

With Ellis' return, the Preds could be getting very dangerous on the power play.
