The Boston Bruins will start the season with two of their players on the injured reserve list.

According to an official announcement from the Bruins, the organization has placed 24-year-old center Austin Czarnik and 26-year-old defenseman Torey Krug on short-term IR.

Injured reserve is a designation that intimidates the player will miss a minimum of 7 days due to injury from the time he was injured. With the Bruins placing Krug and Czarnik on IR today it would indicate that they will miss a minimum of two games, with their earliest possible return being the Bruins third game of the season against the Colorado Avalanche on October 11th.

Of course that doesn't mean that either player will be healthy enough to go for that game, but we will keep you up to date on their status moving forward.
