Breaking: Two defensemen have been traded in the National Hockey League!

Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin has been a busy man as of late and he is showing no signs of slowing down.

The Habs GM pulled off yet another move on Tuesday this time orchestrating a player for player swap that will send defensman Philip Samuelsson from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for defenseman Keegan Lowe.

Both men have spent their entire season in the American Hockey League, and while Lowe is two years younger and therefore two years further back in his development, Samuelsson has the better draft pedigree having been selected in the second round(61st overall) while Lowe was drafted in the third(73rd overall).

This is likely a swap of depth and it seems unlikely either man makes a major contribution at the NHL level for either of these teams this season.
