Breaking: Two teams have made “serious” offers for veteran goaltender this morning.

After reports over the weekend suggested there had been no offers for veteran goaltender Jaroslav Halak, we now have some movement on that front.

While the teams who have reached out to the Islanders remain a mystery, and as a result so do the offers they have made, we do have confirmation that teams have made "serious" offers for Halak today.

According to a report from The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta, sources have informed him today that talks have picked up and at least two teams are involved, somewhat surprising given how much Halak's $4.5 million cap hit complicates matters.

Yesterday we reported on the likelihood that the Carolina Hurricanes could be involved, however Matt Larkin of The Hockey News has speculated that the two teams involved could be the Airzona Coyotes and Los Ageles Kings. Given the Kings struggles in goal it would make a great deal of sense, but it would require some creative cap management to get that deal done for both sides.
