As one young centreman was not claimed off waivers yesterday (Gregg McKegg was placed there by the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday, but was not claimed), two other young centres have landed on the waiver wire today.

The Washington Capitals have placed Tyler Graovac on waivers, while the Chicago Blackhawks have placed Tanner Kero on there.

In five games with the Caps, the 24-year-old Graovac has yet to record as point. As for Kero, who is 25, he has amassed a goal and two assists in eight contests with the Hawks.

Several teams have been looking to add depth at the centre position in the recent weeks, including the Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins, Edmonton Oilers and Philadelphia Flyers.

The Oilers have been quite active on the waiver wire lately, and could go shopping on there once more.

To be continued...
