Breaking: Update on Draisaitl's concussion issues

Things seem to be finally looking up for the Edmonton Oilers. According to Sportsnet's John Shannon, star forward Leon Draisaitl will return to the lineup tonight, for the game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. 

The forward is awaiting the medical clearance after the morning skate to be fully sure he will be in uniform tonight, but it looks good for the 21-year-old. 

Draisaitl has missed the last four games with an eye injury and concussion-type symptoms.

The Oilers are just 2-5 on the season and are second last in the league in goals-per-game. The addition of Draisaitl would be a welcomed one. 

Drake Caggiula could also make a return tonight. He has missed five games with an undisclosed injury.
