BREAKING: Update on Zdeno Chara

While the nature of his lower-body injury has not yet been revealed, it appears that team captain Zdeno Chara is not slated to miss any significant amount of time. 

After having played only a single shift on Tuesday night against the St. Louis Blues, Chara left the game with an undisclosed injury and did not return. 

Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney announced minutes ago that the hulking and long-serving defenseman will not travel with the team to Ottawa to take on the Senators tomorrow night. 

An update is expected to be announced on Friday prior to the team's game against the Calgary Flames.
