The positive thoughts appear to be helping…

On Friday night, Hershey Bears defenseman Aaron Ness crashed awkwardly into the boards and remained motionless on the ice in one of the scariest scene in hockey.

Ness took a nasty spill on the ice next to the Sound Tigers’ net and did not manage to stop his speedy awkward fall in time.

The poor 28-year-old player crashed neck first into the boards and laid motionless on the ice. Surrounded by teammates and trainers, he couldn’t move and had to be turned on his back and lifted onto a stretcher.

He was put on the stretcher and left the game, and is said to be on his way to the local hospital. His teammates gather around the stretcher to wish him luck as he made his way out.

Moments ago, the Bears radio play-by-play broadcaster Zack Fisch reported that Ness is awake and alert and has been taken to the hospital for X-rays.

Wow, what a great almost miraculous update. Upon closer review, someone pointed out that Ness managed to move his legs a little bit as he laid on the ice and waited for help.

Let's hope the news and updates keep getting better.
