Like every other team in the National Hockey League, the Montreal Canadiens will be losing one of their players to the Las Vegas Golden Knights, and now we may have a better idea of who that player may be.

TSN insider Pierre LeBrun was a guest on TSN's 690 radio in Montreal when he was asked about what player would be selected by the Golden Knights, and he responded by suggesting it would be one of two players.

According to LeBrun the two names he has heard "most connected to Vegas" are that of Alexei Emelin and Brandon Davidson. Immediately this indicates that the Golden Knights view the Habs roster as one that will allow them to shore up the left side of their blue line, although it will be interesting to see which of the two left-handed defensemen they end up selecting.

Should Emelin be selected this would result in him playing for just the second NHL team of his career.
