Breaking: Veteran defenseman expected to sign contract worth over $50 million dollars!

There are rumors that a monster contract will be announced today. 

Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman is reporting that there are rumors that Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler is expected to sign a contract extension worth a whopping $52 million dollars. 

According to Friedman the extension will be an eight-year contract extension that will carry an average annual value of $6.5 million per season, a huge amount of money for Fowler. 

Fowler has been arguably Anaheim's best defenseman as of late, and this will likely be celebrated as welcome news among Duck fans despite the hefty price tag.
