It sounds like a veteran defenseman is about to traded.

A report from Andrew Gross of NorthJersey.com has revealed that veteran defenseman Kyle Quincey has been held out of the line up this evening and it sounds like the motivation behind the move is a potential trade deal.

From Gross:

The Devils have not dealt Kyle Quincey – yet – but the veteran defenseman is being held out of tonight’s lineup against the Canadiens in case general manager Ray Shero does pull off a deal.

There aren't any hints about what teams may be taking a look at Quincey but as a veteran with a $1.25 million cap hit there are likely a number of contenders who view him as a serviceable depth option.
