Breaking: Veteran forward has just been spotted leaving the arena in a walking boot!

We have a potentially serious injury in the playoffs.

While there has been no official report from the team, Helen Elliott of the Los Angeles Times is now reporting that Anaheim Ducks veteran forward Patrick Eaves has just been spotted in a walking boot.

According to Elliott Eaves left the arena today with the boot on his right foot, and when Anaheim Ducks head coach Randy Caryle was asked about the situation, he would only state that Eaves was day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

It's a tough break for the Ducks who made a move to acquire Eaves prior to the trade deadline and gave up a fair price for him in the form of a conditional second-round pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.

Unless Eaves is healthy enough to return during this series we don't expect that the team will provide any new updates.
