Former Winnipeg Jets and Boston Bruins defenseman Mark Stuart has reportedly signed a one year contract with Adler Mannheim of the German DEL. This according to a report on the team’s website.

Stuart was bought-out of his contract by the Jets this past June and failed to catch on with an NHL team during the offseason.

In 673 career games split between the Jets, the Atlanta Thrasher and the Bruins, the 33 year-old Stuart has produced 26 goals, 93 points and 722 penalty minutes.

While not reported yet, it’s been speculated that Stuart’s goal in signing with the German team is to put himself on the radar for the US Olympic team in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
