A veteran of over 300 National Hockey League games has reportedly found himself on the waiver wire.

According to a breaking news report from ESPN insider Pierre LeBrun, the Anaheim Ducks have made the decision to place veteran winger Ryan Garbutt on waivers Thursday, the move comes after a huge come from behind win by the Ducks against the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday night.

Garbutt is a useful player in a depth role, and had previously appeared in 27 games for the Ducks this season, so don't be surprised if teams consider claiming him on the waiver wire, especially with his manageable $1.8 million cap hit. Garbutt is also set to be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season so any team claiming him won't have to worry about any long-term risk.

Unfortunately that also means Garbutt is not eligible for the expansion draft, so any teams that may have looked at him as a potential player to expose to the draft will have to look elsewhere.
