Breaking: Veteran player suspended by the Golden Knights!

What a disaster of a situation. Vadim Shipachyov was one of the most sought-after free agents this past summer, and when the Vegas Golden Knights made him their second player in franchise history - it was expected he would have a huge role in the birth of the new team.

Yet - after signing for 2 years, he was promptly demoted to the AHL, and never played a game there.

He was eventually recalled due to injury - playing 3 games and scoring a goal in that span.

The 30-year-old veteran was demoted once more to the AHL - and seemed to have accepted the assignment, joining the Chicago Wolves in practice, but eventually returned home to Vegas to be with his family on game night.

And now we have this.

It's been out there that Shipachyov is on the trade market, but so far no one seems to be willing to bite. If a trade doesn't occur soon, it seems likely that he will be placed on unconditional waivers for the purpose of contract termination.
