One of the rare trades this season.

It's been a quiet season for trades but talks have picked up in recent weeks and we finally have a deal to report.

According to a report from the Nashville Predators official website, the Predators have acquired forward Cody McLeod from the Colorado Avalanche, and going back the other way will be forward Felix Girard.

It appears that the Predators made the move to add the veteran McLeod in the hopes that he could help them turn their season around and push for the playoffs. As for the Avalanche, they earn themselves a 22-year-old prospect at center in exchnage for a veteran who certainly wasn't going to be a part of the rebuild they appear to be headed for.
