Matt Duchene. This is probably the name we have heard the most over the past few months, probably because he has been on the trading block for just as long. It is no secret that general manager Joe Sakic has turned down many deals involving him because he was asking for too much.

We have a better idea of what Sakic wants for the 26-year-old centerman. The Hockey News' Lyle Richardson revealed exactly what kind of transaction we should be expecting:

"The Avs seek as many as three pieces (a current player, draft pick and blue-chip prospect) for Duchene."

He added that the Vancouver Canucks could get into the bidding, even though that could be a risky decision from general manager Jim Benning...

"Assuming the Canucks are interested in Duchene, acquiring him could be risky. He's eligible in July 2019 for unrestricted free agency. If the Canucks are still rebuilding by then, he could depart for greener pastures as a free agent."

Duchene played 77 games last season with the Avs, recording 18 goals and 23 assists for 41 points. This was his worst production since 2011-12, when he registered 28 points in 58 games.

Do you think he'll finally get traded?
