Minnesota Wild forward Jason Zucker has been sidelined with a lower-body injury, and will not play in today’s game against the Nashville Predators.

Zucker has played in 77 games with the Wild this season, scoring 21 goals and 25 assists for 46 points in his fifth season in Minnesota.

The Wild are still trying to steer themselves out of a losing skid as the season winds down, having just snapped a 4-game losing streak with their 5-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Thursday.

Minnesota sits second in the Central Division, behind the Chicago Blackhawks, while Nashville is desperately trying to win games to avoid a first-round matchup against the Blackhawks in the Playoffs.

Line juggling and position swaps are nothing new to the Wild lately, Head Coach Bruce Boudreau shouldn’t have to much difficulty in filling Zucker’s position in his lineup, at least temporarily.

Zucker is listed as day-to-day, and is currently expected to return before the regular season draws to a close. Including tonight’s game, the Wild have five more contests before their post-season playoff journey begins.
