Breaking: Wild may soon add a new weapon to the roster

Wild may soon add a new weapon to the roster as reported by Elliotte Friedman in his 30 thoughts column.

"As Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune has reported, there is expectation Wisconsin captain Luke Kunin will leave school and join the Wild." wrote Friedman.

Luke Kunin is a 19-year-old center forward who is playing for the University of Wisconsin's team. The 6ft and 193 pounds played 35 games so far this year. He scored 22 goals and registered 16 assists for a total of 38 points.

Kunin is first round pick (15th overall) of the 2015 NHL entry draft. Scouting report from Curtis Joe (Elite prospect) on the hockey writers describes him as "A highly intelligent and offensively gifted forward. Has a keen eye for scoring opportunities and has shown flashes of elite-level finishing capability. Works hard and isn’t afraid to battle for puck possession. Good hands and puck skills, and has a really accurate release on his shot. Needs to work on his explosiveness, staying in motion with the play, and strength behind his shot. All-in-all, a gifted offensive force with the potential to blossom into a highlight reel player.
