Daniel Winnik's dream came true after all on Wednesday.

Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher announced they signed Winnik to a one-year, $660,000 contract.

Invited on a professionnal tryout by the Wild, the 32-year-old recorded one assist and 15 shots on goal in five preseason games with Minnesota.

Last season with the Washington Capitals, Winnik registered career-highs with 12 goals and three game-winning tallies in 72 games. Over the last 10 seasons in the NHL, Winnik amassed 76 goals and 228 points in 717 career contests with the Arizona Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche, San Jose Sharks, Anaheim Ducks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington.
