Breaking: Winnipeg Jets sign a 24-year-old winger!

The Winnipeg Jets have announced they have agreed to terms with JC Lipon, a 24-year-old right winger, to a one-year, two-way contract worth $650,000.

The team confirmed the news on its official Twitter account:

Lipon was drafted in the third round of the 2013 NHL draft. He played 71 games with the Jets' AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, in 2016-17. He recorded 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points, as well as 129 penalty minutes. He only played 9 NHL games, in which he racked up 1 assist and 5 penalty minutes.
