Breaking: Young defenseman has suffered a broken jaw, will miss several weeks.

A young National Hockey League defenseman has just received some horrible news.

An official report from the Pittsburgh Penguins website has revealed that 25-year-old Brian Dumoulin has suffered a broken jaw, a significant injury that is expected to sideline him for four to six weeks.

It's just the latest in a long series of injuries to the Penguins defensive core, with Olli MaattaKris Letangand Trevor Daley, and it will leave the Penguins blue line severely depleted at least for the immediate future.

The good news for the Penguins is that Maatta, Letang and Daley should be back in the line up within the next few games.
