Some National Hockey League fans will wonder when will it stop. These fans are rooting for the Anaheim Ducks. On Tuesday night, the Ducks announced another notable injury to their roster. Already missing key forwards Corey Perry, Ryan Kesler and Patrick Eaves, young talented forward Ondrej Kase has been added to the list, as he suffered a concussion in the preseason finale Saturday, the team revealed following practice Tuesday.

He is out indefinitely.

While there is no certainty on how he was injured, some believe he might have suffered the concussion after he was involved in a scuff with Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty, who punched him twice in the back of the head.

You can see the incident in the video below. Brandon Montour jumped in to defend his teammate, but it appears that his skate collided with Kase's head, to make things worse...

Kase was a revelation for the Ducks last season: he scored 20 goals and tallied 38 points in 66 games with his brilliant speed and creative playmaking. His loss is quite the blow to an already deflated Ducks lineup. His 20-goal output finished second to only Rickard Rakell for the team lead. The 22-year-old is under contract for the next three seasons at a $2.6-million cap hit.

Fortunately for the Ducks, Brian Gibbons, who was acquired during the offseason as a free agent, is cleared to play. He suffered a bone bruise in his hand while blocking a shot in the preseason, but he practiced Tuesday and will travel to San Jose for the team's season opener Wednesday against the Sharks.

Head coach Randy Carlyle provided other details on the Ducks' injured players. While we only know that Kase will be out indefinitely, it seems that Kesler could be close to a return to action. Carlyle had no timetable for his return but the Kesler is skating, so he could be back in the mix soon as he is expected to travel with his teammates to San Jose.

As for Eaves, who is recovering from shoulder surgery, he has not started skating yet and will likely return after Kesler, according to Carlyle.

Many wonder if the Ducks will have to address their need for offense as the season gets going... Stay tuned.
