Just moments after the Toronto Maple Leafs learned that they would be picking first overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Leafs president Brendan Shanahan joined the Hockey Night in Canada panel to discuss what exactly this meant for the Leafs and their future.

While Shanahan did not reveal much, he did touch on some key points in the discussion, and even deflected a question about the possibility of the Leafs trading that number one overall pick.
