Minnesota Wild head coach Bruce Boudreau has been shuffling up his lines in an effort to find the best possible combinations for his players and that trend continued on Thursday.

Minnesota Wild insider Mike Russo of The Atheletic had a chance to speak to the Wild coach on Thursday and he asked him about the line combinations being showcased as the team prepped for their next game.

Of particular interest was the decision to split up Mikko Koivu and Mikael Grandlund, two of Minnesota's workhorses. When asked why he made the decision Boudreau gave a curious answer.

“They’re both a little dry.”

It's unclear what exactly he means by this, perhaps he was referencing the output of the players, but it's honestly anyone's guess. The Wild are currently one point out of a playoff spot so it's easy to see why Boudreau continues to hope that shaking things up will lead to improvements from his players.
