The Minnesota Wild have a new head coach, and despite his reputation as a players coach, he has wasted no time calling out one of his top young players.
According to a report from the Minnesota Wild's top insider Mike Russo of the Star Tribune, head coach Bruce Boudreau has made the decision to make Matt Dumba a healthy scratch, and it's been done with the clear intent of sending a message to Dumba.
"Dumba is going to be a really good player," said Boudreau. "He is right now. He's trying to do too much. We just want him to calm it down"

Dumba has been criticized throughout his career for his defensive liabilities at the NHL level, and it seems like Boudreau is looking to correct that flaw in the young defender, a move that fans who have followed the team closely will probably largely agree with.
The question now becomes how will Matt Dumba react to the decision from his new coach?
