The Boston Bruins are once again being hit hard by the injury bug.

According to a report from Boston Bruins insider Joe Haggerty it now appears as though veteran forward David Krejci will remain sidelined due to the "upper body injury" that he suffered earlier this week during an embarrassing Bruins loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets. It is a significant loss for the Bruins and one that leaves many questions about Krejci's overall health and his ability to maintain a consistent level of health through the duration of what is admittedly a grueling season in the National Hockey League.

This marks yet another injury related absence for Krejci who has already missed 8 games this season due to various ailments and in fact it has now been 4 seasons since Krejci was able to play a full 82 game season for the Bruins. In defense of the veteran forward however he has played a ton of hockey over the last little while with the Bruins enjoying a deep run in the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, advancing all the way to the final. That being said those considerations will not help the Bruins with the fact that they will now be without Krejci when they face the Penguins on Sunday.

In spite of his injury woes Krejci has been in the midst of another very solid season for the Bruins, recording 11 goals and 21 assists for a combined 32 points in his first 41 games of the season. Krejci has done it while playing a solid two way game for the Bruins this season and currently boasts a plus minus rating of +17.
