Bruins angry, call Senators classless following Krejci injury.

The hit was questionable at best.

Last night's game between the Bruins and the Senators was an all out war. Bodies were thrown against each others and nothing was left out. However, one sequence was the highlight of the night, when Chris Wideman went knee-on-knee on David Krejci.

Of course, every Bruins player screamed for a penalty but it never happened. Krejci was helped off the ice and he's now on the injured reserve and is expected to miss at least next game.

However, echoes from the locker room took a nasty turn today. Apparently, they didn't like the fact Wideman hovered over Krejci and taunted him following the hit. Coach Cassidy said :

“It just looked like the player was hovering over Krejci, and I don’t know if that’s appropriate”.

Additionnaly, Brad Marchand said:

“Right after [the hit], Wideman chirped him right away. It’s just pretty classless to do something like that when you know you hurt a guy on the ice. Krejci is a pretty tough player, he can play through just about anything. But I guess that’s part of the game. It happens a lot out there.”

Joe Morrow had the final word.

“It’s a series. You play these guys enough over and over you’re gonna learn to hate everyone and everything about them. It’s just how sports goes. You run into the same person time after time, there’s gonna be some bad blood between teams. I can’t imagine [them] saying anything good about [Krejci], so we’ll just have to retaliate like you do.”

The next game will be pretty interesting folks.
