Bruins call up undefeated goaltender.

An answer for the Bruins?

It looked like general manager Don Sweenet realized he may have made a mistake signing backup goaltender Anton Khudobin to a multi-year deal when the Bruins sent him down to the American Hockey League earlier in the week, and now it looks like the Bruins may be looking at an undefeated AHL goalie to be the solution to their problems.

On Friday the Bruins called up Zane McIntyre from the Providence Bruins, clearly feeling that the 24-year-old netminder had earned himself a second shot at the National Hockey League this season.

McIntyre did not get off to a good start in the NHL, his first three appearances resulting in a .859 save percentage and 4.04 goals against average. However as stated above his performance in the AHL has been nothing short of spectacular and a drastic contrast in numbers when we consider his .951 save percentage and 1.41 goals against average in 12 AHL games, all of them victories.

There's no guarantee McIntyre will even play for the Bruins, but his second crack at the NHL this season will be a point of interest for many fans.
