Wow! This is worrisome news for all Boston Bruins out there after team president Cam Neely gave a much needed update on the situation involving star forward David Pastrnak and Ondrej Kase.

Pastrnak and Kase, who missed Tuesday’s practice - yet again - both were late to be cleared to even enter the building at the start of Phase 3, and since have been spotted skating in Brighton just once thus far while still in the “unfit to participate” category with Pastrnak still in quarantine despite a negative COVID-19 test , and Kase’s status unconfirmed at this point.

On Wednesday morning however, Neely had to explain that “it’s “unfortunate and disappointing” how it’s played out with Kase so far. Wasn’t here long, didn’t settle into a spot … then the pause … now this.”

He added that his  “Best guess” is that Pastrnak and Kase return to the team in Toronto, but “hard to say.”

Neely even appears to blame both Pastrnak and Kase for their decision-making and wants to focus on his team's preparation from now on.

Pasta and Kase returned to Czech Republic after the NHL season was paused March 12 due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus and finally came back to Boston.

This is unsettling news for the Bruins. Pastrnak, who plays right wing on the Bruins’ top line with center Patrice Bergeron and Marchand, scored 48 goals this season to tie Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin for the NHL lead. Pastrnak scored 95 points, tied for third in the NHL with New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin , behind Edmonton Oilers forwards Leon Draisaitl (110) and Connor McDavid (97).

We all know how Pasta is crucial to the Bruins’ success this postseason and fans cannot wait to see if he can joined the club in Toronto.
