According to multiple online reports, the Boston Bruins have been busted filming defensive zone drills during the Ottawa Senators’ practice today.

Check it out:

The Boston Bruins videographer was just asked to stop shooting the Senators defensive zone drills.

The Boston Bruins were caught filming the Ottawa Senators morning skate while they practicing defensive zone drills.
The Senators politely asked them to stop and that was that.
No word on the inflation of the pucks for tonight’s game. #GoSensGo #NHLBruins

The two teams are slated to play later this evening in Ottawa, so it’s clear that the Bruins were looking to gain an inside advantage ahead of tonight’s divisional matchup.

It’s unlikely that the Bruins will face any discipline from the NHL over this matter, but that didn’t stop fans online from calling them cheaters. Boston sports fan, of course, are no strangers to the cheater label, thanks in large part to the Deflate Gate scandal in the NFL from 2015. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was suspended four games and the team was fined $1 million and two draft picks for their part in a scandal in which it was alleged that the Patriots deliberately had footballs deflated in order to gain an advantage over the Indianapolis Colts in the 2014-15 AFC Championship game.
