Bruins fans want Nazem Kadri to get suspended again!
Zuma Press

The Boston Bruins and their loyal fans are not happy about the outcome of the first game of the series. On Thursday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs came out on top last night after Mitch Marner scored twice, including one on a short-handed penalty shot, and led his team to a 4-1 victory over the Bruins to take a 1-0 lead in their best-of-seven first-round playoff series.

However, the fans’ anger and disappointment seems to have altered their sense of logic and hockey play.

Some fans have noted that Leafs forward Nazem Kadri should be suspended once again during the first round series. Last spring, Kadri was suspended three games after the first game of the series. He was disciplined for boarding Bruins forward Tommy Wingels  in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference first round back in April 2018.

That suspension was legitimate, however, it feels like Bruins fans could be a bit biased here…

It was noted that Kadri took out Jake DeBrusk way late and high, as it’s added that it’s not the first time he’d have done this to DeBrusk.

While the hit seems to take place moments after DeBrusk has gotten rid of the puck, it is hard to tell if the first point of contact was his hit. The Bruins player sure went flying, however, we haven’t gotten any sign that Kadri will have a hearing and be suspended again for this series.

What do you think? You be the referee!
