Bruins Playoff Preview

The Boston Bruins are back in the playoffs to everyone's pleasure. They have not made the playoffs since 2014, a drought that ended with a spectacular push led by none other than Brad Marchand. They will be facing the Ottawa Senators, who hold the second seed in the Atlantic Division and against which their history this season is poor. In their four games played, the Bruins lost every game (0-3-1).

However, don’t count the Bruins out just yet. They are currently 1st in the NHL in Penalty killing which is a big one in the Playoffs' intense and physical play. Moreover, in the regular season the Bruins have scored on average +0.31 more goals per game than Ottawa has. They also have the better goal differential at +0.28 per game.  We hope that these numbers indicate that the Bruins do have a chance of beating the Sens even if history is no indication.

Here is the schedule to watch these round one games:

Game 1 – Wednesday, April 12, 7:00 PM @ Senators

Game 2 – Saturday, April 15, 3:00 PM @ Senators

Game 3 – Monday, April 17, 7:00 PM vs. Senators

Game 4 – Wednesday, April 19, 7:30 PM vs. Senators

*Game 5 – Friday, April 21, TBD @ Senators

*Game 6 – Sunday, April 23, TBD vs. Senators

*Game 7 – Wednesday, April 26, TBD @ Senators

With Ottawa only three points ahead of the Bruins, this match up will definitely be something to watch. It's time for redemption in Boston!
