Bruins get an early Christmas present with good news for Chara and Bergeron

The Boston Bruins have been absolutely DECIMATED by injuries this season with players like Zdeno Chara, Patrice Bergeron, Charlie McAvoy, Brandon Carlo and Torey Krug all having spent significant time on the injured reserve.

While nearly half those players may be back in action already, the team’s leadership group of Chara and Bergeron are still out and the team is reeling. Fortunately, the team got some good news regarding Chara and Bergeron this morning, as both players resumed skating on their own.

Still no definite timeline for their return, but this HAS to be seen as a positive step for a team that’s had a difficult time moving forward this season. Hopefully a healthy Chara and Bergeron can help this team get back to being the dominant force that they’ve been the past few seasons in the NHL’s Atlantic Division.
