Bruins GM reveals his plan regarding David Pastrnak

The Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney has reassuring news for his fans, Tuesday.

Sweeney told the Boston Globe that forward David Pastrnak will not be traded.

A restricted free agent, Pastrnak is coming off a breakout season in which he recorded 34 goals and 70 points in 75 games. The 21-year-old forward is still looking for a contract with the Bruins, and both parties would like him to be signed before training camp opens in September.

"Not trading Pastrnak," Sweeney wrote in an email to Globe when asked to respond about rumors involving his player.

Rumors surfaced that the Bruins were frustrated with contract negotiations and looking to ship Pastrnak out of Boston. Bruins insider Joe Haggerty analyzed the rumors this morning, and clearly Sweeney agrees with him.
