The Boston Bruins might have won the first contest of the second round series against the Columbus Blue Jackets, they might have lost a key part of their lineup at the same time...

Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy revealed after last night's overtime win that forward David Krejci is considered day-to-day after leaving Thursday’s Game 1.

It was revealed that Krejci was injured after a hit from the Blue Jackets’ Riely Nash. His final shift ended with just over two minutes to play in the third period and he didn’t come out of the dressing room for overtime.

However, Cassidy wanted to be positive and added that he could have returned, but the Bruins managed to win before that.

“He left the game and by the time he was available to come back, the game was over,” Cassidy said. “We’ll see how he is in the morning.”

Some insiders were worried about the nature of the injury, however, Cassidy confirmed that Krejci did not suffer a concussion on the play.

The 32-year-old forward is coming off a 73 point season that tied his career-high. He had two goals and five points in seven games against the Toronto Maple Leafs in Round 1.

We will have more details on his injury and if he can take part in the second contest of the series against Columbus before tomorrow night.
