Bruins officially place Krejci on IR, shuffle lineup ahead of rivalry game against the Leafs

The Boston Bruins host division rival Toronto Maple Leafs tonight at TD Garden but injured forward David Krejci will NOT be in the team’s lineup. 

The 33 year old Krejci has been day-to-day with an upper body injury since leaving a game earlier this month against the Anaheim Ducks. Up until this morning head coach Bruce Cassidy wouldn’t rule Krejci out for the game against the Leafs, but not the team has officially placed Krejci on the injured reserve.

As a result, the Bruins have recalled forward Anders Bjork from the AHL’s Providence Bruins.

Incidentally, Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask will play in his 500th career NHL game this evening.
