The Boston Bruins made quite the statement last night in their 4-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Bruins improved to 7-0-1 without leading goal scorer David Pastrnak in the lineup and are 11-0-2 in their last 13 games. They have not lost in regulation since a 3-2 home loss to the New York Rangers on Jan. 19.

On Friday morning at practice, Patrice Bergeron, Sean Kuraly and Kevan Miller were missing from the group and Bruins general manager Don Sweeney announced after the skate that forward Peter Cehlarik has been recalled from Providence on an emergency basis.

Cehlarik has taken part in 14 games with Boston this season, tallying four goals and two assists for six points. He also ranks second on the team in scoring in Providence this season with 10 goals and 19 assists for 29 points in 37 games.

In 30 career NHL games with Boston over two seasons, the 23-year-old has posted five goals and five assists for 10 points, while adding 41 goals and 49 assists for 90 points in 121 career AHL games with Providence.

He was originally selected by Boston in the third round, 90th overall of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Cehlarik had been assigned back yesterday as Noel Acciari was fit to play against the Lightning.
