The Boston Bruins made a pair of big moves on Thursday announcing both the signing of a defenseman as well as buying one out.
The Bruins announced the signing of defenseman Torey Krug who after working his way through a bridge deal earned himself a big payday. From the Bruins official announcement:
Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, June 30, that the team has signed defenseman Torey Krug to a four-year contract through the 2019-20 season worth an average annual value of $5.25 million.
The move came off the heels of the Bruins clearing some cap space by buying out the contract of defenseman Dennis Seidenberg who has not been the same since a series of devastating injuries. Seidenberg confirmed the buyout to CSNNE's Joe Haggerty adding that the he will miss being Bruin.
