Bruins to bring former D-man on PTO during contract impasses!

This is quite the Plan B in Boston as McAvoy and Carlo remain unsigned…

Boston Bruins fans should get ready to say hello again to a former player!

The roster of the Bruins jumped on the ice on Wednesday at the Warrior Arena and defenseman Adam McQuaid showed up with his former teammates.

According to the Play-by-play voice of the Junior Bruins Alex Thomas, the free agent is skating with the team and could manage to get a professional tryout contract with Boston.

Earlier this summer, Bruins president Cam Neely revealed that his team has been getting ready to open training camp without defensemen Charlie McAvoy and Brandon Carlo, two restricted free agents who are still unsigned.

Seeing that the Bruins could have to push through the contract impasses through the season, McQuaid could have the best timing to land a PTO and crack the roster with the Bruins.

This could be uplifting news for the veteran blue liner, who had a tough summer. Back in June, his agent provided an update on his client, who took an elbow to the head, and while his agent tried to put a positive spin on things it was clear that there is concern in the McQuaid camp about his health moving forward.

However, if McQuaid is back on track and healthy, the Bruins might want to ink him down for backup!
