We all got scared when it was announced that Patrice Bergeron would miss action due to a lower-body injury, however, Boston Bruins can rejoice from this: the team is unleashing one of his star prospects against the Canadiens tonight in Montreal.

Jack Studnicka will make his NHL debut on Tuesday night at the Bell Centre. The Bruins recalled Studnicka from Providence on Monday, where he has been developing as a top player.

The 171-pound center’s ability to deal with the physical play has continued to be a focus throughout his season. He has scored a goal in five consecutive games for the Providence Bruins, and leads the team in scoring, with nine goals and nine assists for 18 points in 21 games. Against Montreal, Studnicka will get an opportunity in the top-six.

“Physically getting stronger, it’s my first full pro year,” said Studnicka to NHL.com. “I went down there, learned how I can get by being a lighter frame. I think I did that and luckily, I got the call.”

He is expected to play Charlie Coyle on the right and Jake DeBrusk on the left. David Krejci has moved up to the first line to take over for Bergeron during his absence.

Here is your Bruins’ projected lineup for tonight:

Marchand - Krejci - Pastrnak
DeBrusk - Studnicka - Coyle
Bjork - Kuraly - Heinen
Nordstrom - Lindholm - Wagner

Chara - McAvoy
Krug - Carlo
Grzelcyk - Clifton

Halak
Rask
