Bruins forward continues to struggle with injury this season.

When the Boston Bruins made the decision to loan forward David Pastrnak to the Czech Republic for the World Junior Championship they were probably hoping for a very different result.

Pastrnak had seen limited play this season due to a nagging foot injury that kept him out of the Boston line up for all but 10 games thus far, and now he has returned to Boston with yet another injury.

While it appears that initial reports of a broken finger may have been exaggerated, and head coach Claude Julien seemed to confirm that on Monday.

“He’ll probably be looked at by our doctors to see if there’s any severity to it, or it’s just a minor thing,” Julien said as per The Boston Herlad. “I don’t know myself. From what I’m told it’s not a serious thing.”

For the time being the Bruins have assigned Pastrnak to the AHL.
