Brutal late hit leads to a horrifying injury.

This is one of the worst hits we've seen this season and it may go down as the worst hit of 2017.

On Wednesday night in the Kontinental Hockey League Vaclav Nedorost was seriously injured after he was the victim of a vicious late hit, one that forced paramedics to rush out onto the ice with a stretcher to take Nedorost off the ice.

The player who delivered the hit, Anatoly Golyshev, appeared to show very little remorse for his hit at the time, but it seems clear that he will now be a marked man when he is allowed to return to play.

Nedorost was bleeding profusely when he was loaded onto the stretcher creating a horrifying scene.
