Bryan Little makes a very strong statement about the future.

Bryan Little has been a member of the Jets for all his professional life. Well, he was with the team back in the Thrashers' era, but you know what we mean.

As you may know, his 5 years, 23.5M$ contract will reach its end next year. There's still plenty of time to think about it, but if we listen to Little, the future is already drawn clearly.

As reported by JetsNation.ca, Little is very straightforward about his intentions. He would love to sign an extension to his contract and ''stay for his career''. To him, Winnipeg is his second home and everything about the city and the team suit him perfectly. He isn't too far from his native Edmonton hometown either and whatever family remains there.

At 29 years old, Little has still plenty of good hockey left in him. He has 34 points in 45 games so far this year and contributes decisively to the team leadership and intensity. However, injuries plagued him often during his career, in which he missed about 86 games in 10 pro seasons.

Kevin Cheveldayoff has still a lot of time to deal with Little's situation, but with a 14 teams no-trading clause, the options are limited. It would be a tough call to move him before the end of his contract and signing him should be a priority.
