Burns knocks out on VandeVelde with a huge hit.

Our hit of the week comes from the Wednesday night match up between the Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks.

The hit came from San Jose Sharks star Brent Burns, and while it did not appear to be intentional, the National Hockey League Department of Player Safety agreed, he drilled Philadelphia Flyer Chris VandeVelde right in the jaw.

The result was VandeVelde being knocked silly, and even after several long moments on the ice it was obvious that he did not have full control of his body, and had to be helped off the ice.
