Burns on lack of desperation from Sharks: F***, check your pulse.

One member of the San Jose Sharks has no problem admitting that he is in desperation mode heading in to Game 5 of the Cup Final, a must win game for his team. In fact Sharks star defenseman Brent Burns says he's been desperate since the playoffs began, and may have even called out his teammates who don't feel the same way.

"I think it's crazy," said Burns as per ESPN's Craig Custance.

"You're in the Stanley Cup Finals, you're desperate. You're in the first round of the playoffs, you're desperate. That's what makes the playoffs so good, every shift is desperate. If you're here and you're not desperate, f***, check your pulse ."

Burns has been a dominant force in the playoffs overall, but that has not been the case in the Finals up against the speedy Penguins, and he will need all the motivation he can muster if he wants to help his team hold on for one more game.
