Calgary city workers pour gravel on outdoor rinks, ensuring no one can use them
Absolutely ridiculous. Makes my blood boil.

According to a now deleted tweet from long-time player agent Darryl Wolski, the City of Calgary has effectively ruined outdoor rinks in the city presumably so that citizens won't gather to play hockey during COVID-19 restrictions.

Wolski's Tweet set off outrage from hockey fans on Twitter, so it's no surprise that he has since deleted it.
I have to say... this is absolutely ridiculous.
I'm all for doing your part to flatten the curve, but surely a little outdoor exercise is actually a good thing? If there were a real problem with people gathering to play hockey, there surely has to be a better way to address it than by pouring gravel on the ice? C'mon, City of Calgary...
