Canadiens fans react to the Subban trade and it's absolutely hilarious!

To say that fans of the Montreal Canadiens are a little upset right now would be a major understatement, and while these examples certainly do not represent the entire fan base, they do represent a significant portion of the vitriolic reaction that is taking place right now.

For our first example, the top tweet following the Canadiens official announcement comes from a young man by the name of Patrick Antinozzi, who stated plainly that this was the only thing the Habs could do to lose him as a fan. Now lest you think Patrick is the only one who feels this way, his post has been liked over 300 times and shared nearly 100 times since the announcement.

Meanwhile some other fans got a little more creative, this one compared the Montreal front office to a literal dumpster fire.

There are more sensible fans however who simply questioned why the Canadiens would trade a pillar in the community, especially when many feel the player coming back the other way is not only inferior now, but already on the decline.
