Canucks acquire new skilled forward amidst health crisis.
Vancouver Courier

There's no secret here, the Canucks have been decimated by illnesses this year, from the mumps to food poisoning. However, the upper management keeps active in finding skilled players to add to the roster.

The organization signed center Drew Shore for the remainder of the 2016-2017 season. The 6'3'', 205lbs forward used to play with the Kloten HC in the Swiss A-league, where he accumulated a pretty decent 48 points in 50 games.

Shore was drafted 44 overall in the 2009 derby by the Panthers, but failed to crack the lineup there. He was traded to the Calgary Flames during the 2014-2015 season, where he mostly played in the minors before exiling himself to the land of clockwork and fine chocolate. Apparently, Switzerland treated him well and he's back in the big show.

Shore comes from a hockey family, in which brother Nick Shore plays for the L.A. Kings and Quentin Shore is in the same team's minor system.

Apparently, some Canucks are already happy to see him join the team.

Welcome in the family, Drew!
